Siding Repair in Houston

Siding Repair for Houston homes and surrounding areas, planned with a clear scope, careful sequencing, and durable finish standards.

Service — Siding

Matched, not patched.

A siding repair that does not match is worse than a siding repair that has not been done — it announces the problem rather than resolving it. We match the profile, the reveal, the nailing pattern, and the finish to the surrounding material before a single board is removed.

In Houston's climate, siding failure is almost always a moisture problem. We address the moisture source — improper flashing, failed caulk, missing Z-bar at horizontal transitions — before repairing the siding. A siding repair that does not address the entry point will fail again within three years.

The moisture behind the wall

A siding repair that does not address the water source will fail again in three years.

In Houston's climate, siding damage is almost always a moisture story. Failed caulk at a window frame. A missing kick-out flashing at a roof transition. A Z-bar that was never installed at a horizontal seam. The siding is where the story ends — not where it starts.

We find the source before touching the siding. Moisture readings on the surrounding boards and sheathing, probe tests for soft spots, visual inspection of every transition point above the damage. Then we repair.

What changes

From a damaged section that announces the problem to a repair that disappears into the wall.

Before

Rotted boards, moisture staining, and a patch that does not match the surrounding profile — often with the original water entry point still active.

After

A repair that matches the existing siding in profile, texture, and painted finish — and stays dry because the source was fixed, not covered.

  • Water entry point found and sealed before new siding is installed
  • Profile and reveal matched to the existing wall surface
  • Paint blended across the repair zone to transition with the surrounding finish

How we approach it

Three things that set this work apart.

Not every remodeler thinks this way. These are the commitments that separate a careful project from a forgettable one.

  • 01

    Source identified before repair begins.

We probe for moisture content in the surrounding siding and sheathing before removing the affected boards. If the moisture source is active — a failed window sill, a missing kick-out flashing — we address it first.

  • 02

Profile and reveal matched to the existing material.

We source replacement material from suppliers who carry the matching profile. For discontinued profiles, we have moulding mills produce them. The repair should be invisible from the street.

  • 03

Paint matched and blended across the repair zone.

A new board painted with the exact same colour as weathered existing siding will not match — the existing has aged, faded, and chalked. We blend the paint repair across a wider area to produce a transition that is not visible.

Finish

Materials and craft

Exterior quality depends on the weatherproofing you do not see.

The visible finish is only the last layer. Fasteners, flashing, slope, caulk, coatings, and substrate repair determine how exterior work performs.

01

Moisture control

We look closely at penetrations, seams, thresholds, and slope so water is directed away from vulnerable parts of the house.

02

Heat-ready materials

Paint systems, decking, trim, and exterior assemblies are selected with Houston sun and humidity in mind.

03

Clean tie-ins

Transitions to the existing home are planned carefully so new work feels integrated, not attached as an afterthought.

07 — Process

A remodeling process
Houston homeowners can follow.

One crew per Houston remodeling project, start to finish. The same people who frame your kitchen are the ones who set the tile, repair drywall, install flooring, and hang the cabinets. No handoffs, no strangers mid-project, no timeline surprises.

Consultation

A site walk before a scope.

Exterior projects need eyes on the property. We review exposure, access, drainage, tie-ins, and material goals before narrowing the work into a responsible plan.

  1. Walk the exterior and document existing conditions
  2. Discuss durability, shade, and finish goals
  3. Confirm scope, access, and approval path
