Most painting failures are preparation failures. A brush and a bucket are the last two percent of the job. The other ninety-eight is surface repair, prime coats, blocking, sanding, and patience. Our painters are finish carpenters who happen to hold a brush — they read the wall before they touch it.
We work with a curated palette of European mineral paints and traditional limewash — materials that build texture rather than hiding it. Where standard latex will look flat and plastic in five years, a properly applied mineral coat develops depth. We do not offer custom colour matching on dollar-per-gallon paint.

Not every remodeler thinks this way. These are the commitments that separate a careful project from a forgettable one.

Walls skim-coated, not filled.
We do not spackle holes and call it a day. Any wall receiving a high-sheen finish is skim-coated — a full thin-set of joint compound, sanded to flat. The light at the end of the day will not lie.

Mineral and limewash finishes on request.
Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Bauwerk, and traditional Italian limewash — we apply each according to its manufacturer's specification. Some of these products require three to five application days to cure between coats.

Millwork painted separate from walls.
Trim, casings, and cabinets are primed and painted before installation, then touched up in place. The result is a paint line that will not crack at the junction — a simple distinction that most painters ignore.
The finish only works when the layers beneath it are correct.
Interior remodeling is won in prep: substrate repair, trim alignment, layout marks, acclimation, and the order in which each trade touches the room.
Surface preparation
Walls, floors, and openings are assessed before finish work so uneven framing or damaged substrate does not telegraph through the final product.
Finish coordination
Paint, millwork, tile, flooring, and lighting are sequenced together so one beautiful decision does not create a problem for the next trade.
Protection standards
Floors, HVAC returns, adjacent rooms, and furniture paths are protected with the same seriousness as the work area itself.

Brief
A long conversation, in your home. We walk every room, measure what matters, and listen before we offer a single idea. Observation first.
Drawings
Full plan sets and shop drawings — every cabinet measured on site, every joint specified on paper. Nothing goes to production without a drawing.
Build
Our in-house crew handles framing, cabinetry, tile, and finish work. Same people, start to finish. No handoffs, no surprises.
Sign
We sign the inside of a drawer face when we leave. Initials, date, and a number you can call for the rest of the house's life.
